A tear for Paris

<

My heart bleeds for Paris — because London won the bid to host the Olympics in 2012.  I had rooted for Paris despite the fact that my own beloved New York City was pitching for the right to host the Olympics 7 years from now.  I don’t know if it was because I had fallen in love with Paris, or simply because the passion with which it pursued its dream captivated me as well… London must be no less deserving but I would have shared the victory of the French had they bagged the right to hold the torch come 2012.

I had taken the picture to the left during my visit there when the city was awash with their now famous sign — what would’ve been their logo had they been successful in their bid.

Rethinking August in Paris

Childcare issues are hounding us again so I told Alan we better just postpone our August trip to Paris (to celebrate our 5th anniversary) and we can probably just plan on something local where we can take Angel with us.

It’s just a postponement.. it doens’t mean totally cancelling the trip.  We will return to Paris soon..
